Caffeine is one of the most commonly used drugs worldwide. This American Heart Association scientific statement suggests moderate caffeine consumption is generally safe and may even be associated with cardiovascular benefit, though much of the evidence comes from observational studies of coffee drinkers rather than caffeine itself.

Friday’s Spoon Feed:

Current American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines for hand placement during chest compressions may not be ideal, but they are the best we have for the moment.
